This week, we started the fourth lesson in the HaYesod class, “Our Rabbi – His Teachings.”
In this week’s class, we learned that:
- Yeshua came to properly interpret Torah—not to cancel or replace it
- Yeshua is the Living Torah
- Yeshua did not teach against Torah
Questions from discussion groups for your review:
Is it okay to call Him Jesus? Why do we prefer Yeshua at B’rit?
What’s the job of a rabbi? What are the responsibilities of a disciple?
How can we reconcile Yeshua as the Torah made flesh with the idea that He came to abolish Torah by fulfilling it?
Our memory verse(s) for Lesson 4:
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Amen, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or serif shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come to pass.” (Matthew 5.17-18)
