| MAGEVET
in Concert January 8th
Jewish a capella choir from Yale University a
first

On Monday, January 8th at 7pm, B'rit Hadasha will host Magevet,
the Jewish a cappella choir from Yale University, for a concert
of Jewish music you don't want to miss. The 17-member choir will
feature Jewish music from around the world, including pieces in
Yiddish and Ladino.
They are currently on a tour of the Southern U.S., and will also
be performing for other area Jewish groups. They have two albums
on cd that will be available for sale that evening. The event
is free and open to the public. This event is a "double-first"
in that is the first time the congregation has played host to
a non-Messianic group, and it is the first time that Magevet has
performed in a Messianic Jewish congregation. B'rit Hadasha is
honored to have such a group here and we look forward to a wonderful
evening of quality Jewish music. |

In Review!
2006 was a significant year for B'rit. We hosted a number of special
guests (including Dan & Patty Juster, Don Finto, Ashley Crane,
Marc Chopinsky, David Friedman, Zemer Levav, Joel Chernoff, and
others). Several classes were held (year-round Torah study, a
class on Encountering the Cults & World Religions, Hebrew
Workshops, a Dance Workshop, a 9-week study in James), and the
Men of Joy group completed a study in the book Wild at Heart.
The congregation went through a preaching series based on the
book Hearing God, and saw five new people immersed in water as
a profession of faith in Yeshua. B'rit participated in the local
Walk for Life and Life- Chain events, sent representatives to
numerous area churches and groups to speak, held it's annual community
Passover seder as well as a joint prayer service with Christ United
Methodist Church and held the Pifer Memorial Lectureship. Our
building saw improvements as new carpeting and flooring were installed,
areas were repainted, and the building received a much-needed
new roof. All in all, there were times of sorrow and there were
times of rejoicing. God has been faithful through it all. To Him
be the glory!

2007:
Celebrating 25 Years of Ministry
2007 will prove to be a significant year for B'rit Hadasha as
we celebrate our 25th anniversary. While exact plans for a corporate
event are still underway, you can expect the celebration to last
year-long. More details will come as they are available.

Our Mishpocha: Mark & Rhonda Blessing, Liviv, Ukraine
Mark
& Rhonda Blessing, along with their daughters Bria, Lindsay,
and Krista, were called into missionary service in 1992 by the
Lord Jesus and went to Ukraine in March 1993. In April 1994 they
planted a church from a Bible study of eight new believers, and
watched that grow to a membership of over 200. Utilizing Children's
Sunday School, Women’s ministry, Youth Ministry, Leadership
Training, and home groups, they saw many lost people come to know
the Lord. They are now planting another new church and also have
a deep love and burden for the Jewish people. The Blessings have
a vision for what they call "Bethel House", a home for
Jewish people to live in while they prepare to immigrate to Israel.
The Blessings live in this house and are preparing it for expansion
and renovation. They are in constant need of your prayers and
worthy of your financial support. The Blessings are members at
B'rit Hadasha and were sent out from here in 2004.
