upon us? With the change of seasons, we are reminded of the temporal
nature of all things (yet God remains unchanged!). With this issue
of BRITbits we'll share a bit of what has been happening around
B'rit Hadasha and what's to come. Its already time to plan for
Passover, so be sure to get your tickets, and don't forget to
"spring" forward by moving your clocks up one hour this

Praying people around the world lifting up our former rabbi
As a rallying cry for prayer, we began to provide email updates
on Gary Shansky's condition in late January. Nearly 300 people
are on this list, and from the reports we have recieved, many
of them are forwarding these updates to other praying friends

ESTHER BIBLE
STUDY
"One Night With the King" Esther study held in February
A 4-week Bible study through the book of Esther
was held every Monday night in February. Incorporating short video
clips from the movie One Night with the King and a study guide
based on the film, the study focused on the issues of God's Providence,
Courage to Serve God, Dealing with Adversity, and Our Purpose.
Special thanks to the Liebenhauts for opening their home for this
very enjoyable study.

SIX MONTHS OF PRAYER &
FASTING
Crescendo of Prayer Peaks at Purim Time
The last 6 months around B'rit Hadasha have been a time of significant
prayer, seeking God, intercession, and fasting. Daily our people
have been taking turns and continuing an ongoing chain up until
last weekend. Then about 6 weeks ago we began to have nightly
intercessory prayer. Then for the last 3 days leading up to Purim
we held a 3 day fast, just as Esther did so long ago. God has
answered our prayers, is answering our prayers, and will answer
our prayers. We praise Him for all He is doing in our midst!
For the time being, we will continue to have nightly intercessory
prayer meetings at 7pm. Please contact the office at (901) 685-9267
to verify the schedule |
OUT & ABOUT: IN THE COMMUNITY
B'rit Hadasha members reach out in various ways
On Saturday night, March 3rd, B'rit Hadasha moved its annual
Purim celebration party to Ascension Towers, where we were joined
by a good number of the senior citizen residents living there.
Currently three of our members live there, and we're told the
place is still buzzing about it after several days (we're assuming
that's a good thing)! All in all it was a wonderful evening as
we celebrated the story of Esther of Susa, the Jewish orphan who
rose to become Queen of Persia, who risked her life to save the
Jewish people from destruction.
On March 6th, Senior Elder Dr. Allen Raich and Worship Team member
Angela Lindsay ministered in song and testimony at Calvary Rescue
Mission's Monthly Luncheon.
