GARY
SHANSKY UPDATE
After much prayer and fasting on the part of the congregation
and the elders of Brit Hadasha, the elders agreed with strong
conviction to reinstate Gary Shansky to the position of elder
as of April 7, 2007. Due to his health he will be on paid sabbatical
until further notice.
Gary has seen a significant reduction in the amount of cancer
in his body, and will be taking a break from the chemo for now.
Please continue to keep the Shansky family in your prayers.

CELEBRATE SHAVUOT
Feast of Weeks service on Tuesday, May 22nd
On
Tuesday, May 22nd at 7:30pm, B'rit Hadasha will hold its annual
celebration service for the Eve of Shavuot (the Feast of Weeks
or Pentecost). At Shavuot, which occurs 50 days after Passover,
we remember two great things: The giving of the Law at Mt. Sinai
and the giving of the Holy Spirit on Mt. Zion. One is considered
the birthday of the Jewish nation and the other is considered
by many as the birthday of the Church. Prior to the celebration,
there will be an informative class taught by Helene Shepsky on
Saturday, May 19th at 2pm. Everyone is invited to attend.

2007 seder was a huge success - View the pics
About 400 people were present at Woodland Hills on April 6th

MESSIANIC JEW IN ISRAEL
Israel's Popular Channel 2 News Portrays MJs in a positive light
This 9 minute newscast from Israeli TV has been circulating around
the internet like wildfire. Considering how much bad press that
Jewish believers normally get, this remarkable video shows the
Messianic Jews of Israel in a very positive light. If you ever
wanted to see what Messianic Jewish Israelis were like, here's
your chance!
The video clip is in Hebrew with English subtitles. Please note
that this link will open to Google Video in a new browser, separate
from the B'rit website, so we have no control over other content
that may be listed.
