REMEMBERING
ISRAEL IN MAY
3
Significant Israeli holidays fall this month
Israel
is always on our minds here at B'rit Hadasha, but did you know
that three significant Israeli holidays fall in May this year?
Yom HaZikaron (Remembrance Day), which
was May 2nd, is the day to remember the fallen servicemen &
women, who lost their lives defending the Land of Israel. The
following day, Yom HaAtzmaut (Independence
Day), is the anniversary of the State of Israel, which was born
in 1948. Yom Huledet Sameach, Yisrael! (Happy Birthday,
Israel!). On May 26th we remember Yom Yerushalayim
(Jerusalem Day), when in 1967 Israel took control
of all Jerusalem and the Holy City was no longer divided. Please
pray for Israel's leadership, as the Prime Minister's new government
is stirring up talk again of dividing Jerusalem.

stand by Israel ?

WHAT'S
NU ?
Recent &
Upcoming events, etc.
April was a special
month, as we celebrated Passover and the Resurrection of Messiah.
We concluded our James Bible study, hosted a concert by Zemer
Levav, and began counting the omer up to Shavuot. Our Passover
seder sold about 400 tickets and was a wonderful evening. Watch
for an update page on our website in the coming weeks. This
month there is a pot-bless meal scheduled for May 6th, a cake
in honor of Mother's Day will be served following service on
May 13th, and a bridal shower for Angela Fukuda will be held
after service on May 20th.
