DAY
We
wish you and yours a happy 4th of July this month and encourage
everyone to pray for our troops as we remember that freedom is
never free.

GARY SHANSKY REINSTATED AS CONG. LEADER
In
a special meeting on July 5th, Gary Shansky was reinstated as
Congregational Leader of B'rit Hadasha. Presiding over the reinstatement
was Dr. Daniel Juster, our overseer from Tikkun International,
who praised and thanked the congregation for its patience and
support of the Shansky family. The meeting was followed by a
time of refreshments and fellowship.

| DAN JUSTER VISITS B'RIT
Dr.
Daniel C. Juster, President of Tikkun Ministries International,
and his wife Patty are special guests at B'rit Hadasha from July
5th-7th. On the 5th Dan spoke to the congregation in a special
meeting and reinstated Gary Shansky as Congregational Leader.
On the 7th he will also speak during the weekly Shabbat service.
Dan is our direct overseer within the Tikkun network and provides
apostolic oversight to the congregation.

TISHA B'AV: Day of Misfortune
9th of Av (July 24th) a traditional day of mourning
The
9th day of the month of Av falls on July 24th, and is a traditonal
day of mourning within Judaism. According to tradition, it was
on this date that both Solomon's Temple and Herod's Temple were
destroyed. Numerous atrocities have befallen the Jewish people
on this date throughout history, including expulsion from England
and Spain and the defeat of Bar Kochba.
