HAPPY NEW YEAR
Rosh HaShanah (Jewish New Year) a Time for Teshuvah

B'rit Hadasha will hold its annual celebration of the Jewish New Year on Friday, Sept. 22nd (7pm) and Saturday, Sept. 23rd (10:30am). Known today as Rosh HaShanah (head of the year) but Biblically called the Feast of Trumpets, this holiday focuses on the need for teshuva (repentance). From a Messianic perspective, it also is a time when we look forward to that final trumpet blast at Messiah's return.

Ten days later comes Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) when we concentrate on the sacrificial death of Messiah which purchased our atonement from sin. Yom Kippur services will be held Sunday, Oct. 1st (7pm) and Monday, Oct. 2nd (10am). For Biblical references to these 2 "high holy days" please see Leviticus 23.
