We’re fast approaching the Fall Festivals for 5778 (2017). Don’t miss the chance to celebrate ADONAI’s appointed times and experience what they mean for all believers!

Below are the services, times, and locations. Shabbat services will be at the normal time, 10:30am. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the office at (901) 685-9267.

  • Sep 20, Wed @ 6:30pm – Erev Rosh HaShanah (Feast of Trumpets)
    • Service will be following by an apple and honey Oneg (“joyful, fellowship gathering”)
    • Childcare provided for children age 3 and under during service
  • Sep 21, Thu @ 3:00pm – Rosh HaShanah (Feast of Trumpets)
    • Service will be followed by a Tashlich (“cast off”) service nearby on the Wolf River
    • Childcare provided for children age 3 and under during service
  • Sep 23, Sat @ 10:30am – Shabbat Shuvah (Sabbath of Repentance)
  • Sep 29, Fri @ 6:00pm – Kol Nidre/Erev Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement)
    • Kol Nidre means “all vows” and is a declaration that is traditionally recited before the beginning of Yom Kippur
    • Since the community will be fasting, please don’t bring food or drink into the sanctuary
    • Childcare provided for children age 3 and under during service
  • Sep 30, Sat @ 10:30am – Shabbat Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement)
    • Fasting continues during Yom Kippur service and the following Yizkor service
    • Childcare provided for children age 3 and under during service
  • Sep 30, Sat @ 6:00pm – Yom Kippur Neilah/Break-Fast
    • As the sun descends, we will hold a Neilah (“closing the gate”) service, following by a community break-fast. We’ll be selling tickets if you plan to attend the break-fast. More details to come.

  • Oct 3, Tue @ 9:30am – Community Sukkah Building
  • Oct 4, Wed @ 6:00pm – Erev Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles)
    • Opening commanded assembly for Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles)
    • Childcare provided for children age 3 and under during service
  • Oct 6-8, Fri-Sun – Sukkot Family Fun Weekend @ St. Columba
    • St. Columba Retreat Center is located at 4577 Billy Maher Rd, Memphis, TN 38135
    • Fees for campers and non-campers cover activities, meals, and required site fee
      • Campers–$7/person per day; family cap of $25/day or $50/weekend
      • Non-campers–$5/person per day; family cap of $25/day
    • Sat, Oct 7 @ 10:30am – Shabbat Sukkot (on-site at St. Columba—no service at B’rit)
  • Oct 10, Tue @ 6:00pm – Erev Hoshannah Raba (“Great Hoshannah or Supplication”)
  • Oct 12, Thu @ 5:30pm – Sh’mini Atzeret/Simchat Torah
    • Closing Sukkot service for Sh’mini Atzeret (“8th Day Assembly”) and Simchat Torah (“Rejoicing in the Torah”)
    • Childcare provided for children age 3 and under during service
