Sharing a Blessing

Sharing a Blessing

In Shabbat school last week, we talked about blessings and curses. We learned how Jacob, when he was nearing the end of his life, had a special blessing for his sons and his grandsons, Ephraim and Manasseh. In a world full of jokes, insults, envy, and bullying, we want to help children understand how much their words can impact others’ lives. That’s why Yeshua taught us to bless others. The week’s activity went beyond the classroom—encouraging children to carry the spirit of blessing into their homes and wherever they go, and to be mindful of what they say throughout their week.

This coming Shabbat, we begin the Book of Exodus. More than just a biblical story, we want children to learn that these were real events in real places; that’s why, over the next few weeks, we will be creating a map of these very real places.

If you have children and haven’t visited our congregation yet, we want to invite your little ones to enjoy this fascinating adventure with us.
