Have you ever witnessed something so extraordinary that it left you speechless, knowing you had just seen the impossible become possible? Maybe it was a prayer answered in the most unexpected way, a healing that defied medical explanation, or a provision that came at exactly the right moment when all hope seemed lost. These glimpses of the miraculous remind us that we serve a God who delights in doing the impossible…
All throughout Scripture, we see countless examples of our God breaking into human history with displays of power that leave no doubt about His sovereignty, love, and faithfulness. These miracles are true testimonies of the steadfast love He has for His children!
“Ah, my Lord Adonai! Behold, You have made the heavens and earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm—nothing is too hard for You!”
Jeremiah 32:17 TLV
The Parting of the Red Sea
Deliverance in the Impossible
Picture this: Bnei-Yisrael stand at the edge of the Red Sea, their eyes fixed on Pharaoh’s army approaching, thundering toward them with chariots, horses, and weapons of war. There was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. By every human calculation, this was the end of their story…
But God specializes in impossible situations.
“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. Adonai drove the sea back with a strong east wind throughout the night and turned the sea into dry land! So the waters were divided. Then Bnei-Yisrael went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, while the waters were like walls to them on their right and on their left.”
Exodus 14:21-22 TLV
Bnei-Yisrael walked through on dry ground—not muddy, not damp, but completely dry—while walls of water towered on either side of them. And when the Egyptians pursued them?
“Then Adonai said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand over the sea, so that the waters come back upon the Egyptians, over their chariots and their horsemen.’ So Moses stretched his hand out over the waters, and the sea returned to its strength at the break of dawn. The Egyptians were fleeing from it, but Adonai overthrew them in the midst of the sea.”
Exodus 14:26-27 TLV
In one miraculous moment, God demonstrated His power over creation itself and His fierce protection of His people. When we face our own impossible circumstances—whether financial, relational, health-related, or spiritual—we can remember that the same God who parted the Red Sea is with us. He will make a way even when it seems like there is none!
Elijah and the Widow’s Oil
Provision in Scarcity
Sometimes miracles come not as dramatic displays of power over nature, but as quiet, daily provisions that sustain us through seasons of need…
During a severe drought that had lasted for years, the prophet Elijah encountered a widow who was preparing what she believed would be her final meal for herself and her son. She had reached the end of her resources, the flour jar was nearly empty and the oil jug almost dry. In her mind, after this last meal, she and her son would simply wait to die. But Elijah brought her a word from Adonai that would change everything:

How often do we find ourselves looking at our own “empty jars”—our bank accounts, our emotional reserves, our physical strength, our hope—and wondering how we’ll make it through? This is a miracle that reminds us that God’s provision doesn’t depend on the size of our resources but on the faithfulness of our Provider, His unwavering compassion and love.
Yeshua Calms the Storm
Authority Over Creation
When Yeshua walked this earth, His miracles revealed not only His compassion but His divine authority. One of the most powerful demonstrations of this authority happened on the Sea of Galilee during a violent storm that terrified even experienced fishermen.
The disciples were crossing the lake when suddenly the weather turned deadly. Waves crashed over the boat, winds howled with fury, and these seasoned sailors feared for their lives. Meanwhile, Yeshua was sleeping peacefully in the stern. In their panic, they woke Him: “Teacher, don’t You care that we’re perishing?”
“So He woke up and rebuked the wind. And He said to the sea, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ Then the wind stopped, and it became totally calm.”
mark 4:39 TLV
Creation itself recognized the voice of its Creator and submitted to His authority.
When the storms of life rage around us—whether they’re financial hurricanes, relational tornadoes, or health crises that threaten to overwhelm us—we can call on the same Yeshua who spoke peace to the wind and waves. The same voice that commands creation can call peace into our storms and calm the chaos within us!
What These Miracles Reveal
It is important for us to realize how these incredible demonstrations of power aren’t just ancient stories for us to retell in church—they are windows for us to see into God’s true character. Through miracles, we see His authority over nature and circumstances, His deep love for His people in desperate situations, and His desire to demonstrate His faithfulness to every generation.
Miracles reveal a God who is intimately involved in our lives, ready to intervene with supernatural power when we need it most. Sometimes His miracles come as dramatic interventions, other times as daily provisions that sustain us through difficult seasons.
A Practical Application for Believers
In the current state of our world it can be difficult to see a miraculous God who is still at work, but we know that Adonai is unwavering in His faithfulness to His children. So, if He is still providing in miraculous ways even now, why do we often not see it?
Recognizing Miracles Today
How do we recognize God’s miracles in our own lives? Occasionally they are as obvious as an ocean parting, but more often they are quieter—the perfect timing of provision, unexpected peace in chaos, or healing that comes gradually but surely. Every answered prayer, every door that opens when all previously seemed closed, every relationship restored—these are all small miracles.
The question isn’t whether God still performs miracles; it’s whether we have eyes to see them. When we cultivate expectancy and gratitude, we begin to notice the miraculous in both the extraordinary and the ordinary.
Living with Expectant Faith
What miracles might God want to do through our surrendered lives? When we align ourselves with His purposes, we become vessels through which He can work. Sometimes, He may even use us to be the miracle in someone else’s life!Living with expectant faith means trusting in God while surrendering to His timing. It’s active trust with which we step forward even when we cannot see the path clearly—faith that says, “I don’t know how God will do this, but I know He can.”
The Same God, Still Working

The same God who parted the Red Sea is with us in our impossible situations. The same God who provided for the widow knows exactly what we need, and the same Yeshua who calmed the storm can speak peace into the chaos we will often encounter during our lives.
His power hasn’t diminished, His love hasn’t wavered, and His faithfulness hasn’t failed. Whatever you’re facing today—whatever mountain seems immovable or sea appears impossible to cross—remember that you serve a miracle-working God.
“And looking, Yeshua said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'”
matthew 19:26 TLV
Nothing is too hard for Him, trust in Him because God’s still in the miracle business, and He’s not finished writing your story yet!
